Inductive sensors

Square body, round or pancake type, cable or connector termination, regardless of application, Eaton Cutler-Hammer offers a suitable inductive sensor. Long life, also in harsh environments, is highest priority.
Also examples of the latest technology are in the product range, for example the programmable inductive sensor iProx and AccuProx, a sensor with linear analogue output. Other examples are SpeedSense, a special sensor, indicating if the speed decreases a preset level. ChipMaster is designed to avoid that metal chips interfere with the sensing.
iProx - the programmable inductive sensor - the adaptable sensor

iProx is not a common inductive sensor. It is a programmable sensor. It is a sensor you can teach to only detect the object you want. You can teach it to ignore metals in the background, to sense in a narrow band and much more.
iProx can be supplied pre-configured adapted just for your application, all to save installation time. The sensor can of course be re-programmed later.
iProx can do it
A single iProx sensor can be programmed to meet a wide scope of challenges. iProx is the best solution when you need flexibility and adaptability right now or in the future. Already today iProx replaces numerous sensors. And more features will be incorporated.
Fast and simple programming
The iProx can be programmed in minutes from any PC. Just affix the magnetic remote programmer to the face of the sensor and connect the interface cable to the serial port in your PC. Place the target in front of the iProx and teach it exactly what you want it to detect. Follow the instructions on the screen and you have it - a sensor programmed to your unique specifications.
Fewer sensor types - less inventory
The same sensor can be programmed for a number of applications. The configuration can be saved in your PC and be used to clone a new sensor. Increased flexibility, reduced design time and above all, less inventory.
AccuProx - inductive sensor with linear analogue output

AccuProx is a line of tubular inductive sensors, M12, M18 and M30 sizes, which provide an analogue signal that varies in proportion with the distance to the sensing object. The output signal is linear in relation to the distance, unlike many other inductive sensors with an analogue output which are hampered by an "S-shaped" signal.
AccuProx is available with up to 25 mm sensing distance, has high resolution and repeatability, which makes it suitable for demanding applications. The sensor is manufactured of stainless steel, has high noise immunity which makes it suitable for installation in harsh industrial environments.
